This Is Serious Mum - Defecate On My Face. 💩
This was This Is Serious Mum's first single, released in 1986 on Elvis Records.
The seven inch vinyl was packaged in a 12" cardboard sleeve sealed on all four sides.
If you viewed record artwork from a distance, it resembles a backwards Nazi swastika.
Somebody in TISM failed history because the song contains the lyric, "There's trouble brewing in the Warsaw Pact; So hurry up Eva and move your digestive tract" but the Warsaw Pact was not established until many years after Hitler's death in 1955.
This black and white music video was filmed in 1987 and it was directed by Jill Holt and features Nazi stock footage.
At two minutes into the video, two unmasked TISM members can be seen in silhouette.
This the original single recording but the song was released in a few different formats.
The version that appears on their debut album Great Truckin' Songs of the Renaissance (1988), has the turntable scratch solo replaced by a Beatles sample of "Yesterday".
A country and western version was released on the Form and Meaning Reach Ultimate Communion EP (1986). It was unlisted as a hidden track on the second side .
In 2002, a twelve inch vinyl remix by Machine Gun Fellatio was released, which also appeared on the tism.bestoff. compilation album (2002).
