This episode of Katie is about moving forward, finding the courage to move on after indescribable tragedy and summoning the strength to forgive. First, Katie will speak to Matthew Badger, a father living every parent's nightmare after losing his three daughters in a horrific Christmas day house fire. In an exclusive television interview marking the one year anniversary of the tragedy, Katie talks to Matthew about how he is coping, and what he is doing to keep his children's memories alive. Then, Judy Shepard recalls her son Matthew's heinous murder in 1998. She will tell Katie how she helped change the views of the homophobic lead investigator assigned to the case and how she is carrying on Matthew's legacy today.
