How to Hem Pants with a Sewing Machine using a Straight Stitch Easy Sewing for Beginners

http://www.easysewingforbeginners.com shows you how to hem pants with a sewing machine using a straight stitch. This method is great for any type of pants or you can use the same technique to hem a dress or skirt.

00:39 What you'll need
01:10 Find the new desired length
02:10 Fold up bottom of pant leg
02:55 Work out allowance for new hem
05:06 Turn pants inside out and cut off excess fabric
05:25 Create new hem and iron a crease at the bottom to hold in place
06:42 Tuck under raw edge and pin in place
08:05 Sew hem using a straight stitch on the sewing machine
10:33 Getting over those tricky side seams
11:10 and the hem is done!
